The pop star returns to her Las Vegas residency with humor, heart, and healing — celebrating love, laughter, and resilience after a year marked by personal loss.
Love, laughter, and life’s bittersweet turns filled the air at Kelly Clarkson’s Las Vegas show on Friday night — her first full performance since the passing of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, in August.
During the emotional evening at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, the Grammy-winning singer helped a couple get engaged in the middle of her concert, turning a night of music into a moment of joy.
In a viral video from her November 7 show, Clarkson playfully encouraged one of the partners to “speak louder!” as he nervously proposed — then cheered them on with her trademark humor: “Say yes, bitch!”

When the partner said yes and the couple celebrated on stage, they told Clarkson, “You’re invited to the wedding now!” The singer laughed and replied, “Do me a favor and ignore this next song. Just stay in this moment… Maybe go to the bathroom! I don’t wanna poo on your parade.”
The newly engaged pair, French visitors living in London, weren’t the only ones to feel the love that night. Clarkson also helped another couple renew their wedding vows after ten years together, embracing her spontaneous officiant role with quick wit and warmth.
“You made it a decade? F— yeah, look at that!” she exclaimed, before reading their vow renewal script aloud. “Do you both promise to keep dancing through life together — offbeat or not, for at least another 10 years?” she read, before adding with a grin, “F— that — 50, 60. Aim high.”
The singer’s return marks her first Vegas performance since postponing four Studio Sessions concerts this summer to be with her children during Blackstock’s illness. The former couple, who were married from 2013 to 2022, shared two children together.

“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,” Clarkson shared in August, just one day before his passing from skin cancer.
A representative for the family said at the time, “Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.”
Following his death, Clarkson took time away from The Kelly Clarkson Show and The Voice, with Jennifer Hudson temporarily filling in as coach. Her return to the singing competition is expected in spring 2026.
Now, back on stage in Las Vegas, Clarkson is blending heartache with humor — finding connection through music and the stories of her fans. Her Studio Sessions residency will continue on November 8, 14, and 15, with more shows scheduled for July and August 2026.
For now, though, the singer’s message to her audience — and perhaps to herself — is simple: love endures, laughter heals, and even in loss, life keeps singing.
