Zendaya turned heads at the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, held on October 19 at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The 28-year-old actress and fashion icon donned a stunning ensemble that paid homage to music legend Cher, who was among the night’s inductees.
Stepping onto the red carpet, Zendaya wore a vintage Bob Mackie creation from the designer’s 2001 Fall Fashion collection, skillfully styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach. Her ensemble featured a luxurious white satin trench coat paired with a form-fitting gold bodysuit, both adorned with intricate beading and sparkling stones. Roach described the look on his Instagram Stories, emphasizing the details: “White silk satin trench coat, with dramatic collar and cuffs, embroidered in gold and diamond iridescent bugle beads and stones,” along with a “nude illusion halter-gown, entirely hand-beaded in gold, diamond and iridescent bugle beads and aurora-borealis stones.”
The choice of a Bob Mackie design was a thoughtful nod to Cher, who has famously worn Mackie’s creations since 1967, beginning with her appearance on The Carol Burnett Show. Cher was one of several music legends honored at this year’s induction, which included Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and the Dave Matthews Band, among others.
