Millie Bobby Brown has finally opened up about the stunning wedding to her husband, Jake Bongiovi, in May 2024, offering fans a rare glimpse into the intimate details of the big day.

In a March 11 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 21-year-old actress gushed about her wedding, calling it “perfect” while laughing about the pressure of organizing such a monumental event. She shared how, true to her nature, she took on the role of “director” for the day.

“Of course, when I turned up, I was directing the whole thing because that’s my nature,” Brown said, joking that she was giving people their marks and ensuring everything went smoothly, just like a production set. However, once she stepped onto the aisle, she found herself overcome with emotion.

“But then, when I walked down the aisle, everything became so real and pure. It wasn’t about production anymore. It felt so beautiful,” she confessed, calling the ceremony “the most meaningful thing I’ve ever done in my life.”

The wedding, which took place in May 2024, followed the couple’s engagement in April 2023. While details of the celebration remained private, Brown did share a few fun moments from the lead-up to her ceremony, including how she tricked the paparazzi and her fans with a clever ruse.

During a visit to her final dress fitting, Brown bumped into a photographer, and fearing that Bongiovi would see her gown before the big day, she decided to throw the photographer off the scent. She tried on a completely different dress, one that was “the complete opposite” of the one she had chosen for the wedding. Brown played it up for the cameras, creating a scene to make it seem like that was the dress she had chosen, and it worked—at least temporarily.

“The photographer got the whole thing, and it sold,” Brown said, before joking that it worked perfectly, and the surprise was preserved.

In addition to discussing her perfect wedding day, Brown also opened up about her future with Bongiovi. When asked on the Smartless podcast about starting a family, the actress, who is one of four siblings herself, shared that she hopes to have a large family of her own. “I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future,” she said. However, Brown also shared that she doesn’t see having a biological child as being any different from adopting, making it clear that family is what matters most to her.
