1. Frank, your modeling career began in 1988 by chance. What do you remember most about that first runway moment?
Frank Christians: I was nervous cause its the moment you came out on the stage all eyes are on you... I did hope that I didnt mess it up, fell or slided :-))))) it took time until you really enjoy this special moment…
2. You managed to complete a Master’s in Economics while modeling worldwide. How did education shape your career mindset?
Frank Christians: Actually I studied economics with focus on marketing… sometimes it`s funny because I think I do know before what the marketing department on the job is looking for cause I have the same background.
3. From modeling to acting in one of Germany’s top soap operas — how was that transition for you?
Frank Christians: Completely different… because from one moment to the other you become from a handsome face to a handsome face with a name ;-)… as a model only photographers and agencies know your name … in TV much more people recognize you.
4. You’ve been a familiar TV host since 2010. What do you enjoy most about being live on air?
Frank Christians: Its the downcounting until you are on air and red light shows up on camera and you imagine how many people listening to you at this moment live... meanwhile sty cool with it and not put yourself under pressure... even if you forget what you wanted to say... laugh about it and right away you are back on track... working with your earpiece... listening to jokes and funny things of the team like producer and director... meanwhile you are live on air. It becomes a bit of a challenge sometimes not to really burst laughing with tears cause its so halarious…and to stay with your interview partner/expert.
5. Your dream role is James Bond. What would your version of Bond look like?
Frank Christians: I guess more like the gentleman Roger Moore with a 2020ies touch of charisma…but I love the british style and for sure an Aston Martin car… actually I have the same model as it is driven by James Bond in “Die another day”.
6. Your comeback as a best-ager model in 2021 has been a success. What’s the secret behind your timeless appeal?
Frank Christians: It`s a lot about lifestyle, food and sports….but for sure I can thank my parents for my good genetics … I even think I am working better these days because in the 50+ age there is not so many guys models left anymore…
7. You live on a farm surrounded by animals. How does that lifestyle balance your life in fashion and media?
Frank Christians: My farm is my soul base…. I love to be in the big fashion cities… being on shootings, film sets etc… but the moment to return to my farm, my family and my animals…especially my dogs touches my heart the most.
