Pop icon celebrates her 56th birthday — and a surprise skirt slip — on her Up All Night Tour, proving she’s still the ultimate showstoppe
Jennifer Lopez has once again shown why she’s a consummate entertainer. During a concert in Warsaw, Poland, on July 24, the global superstar experienced an unexpected wardrobe malfunction — and turned it into a viral moment filled with laughter and poise.
Currently headlining her Up All Night Tour, Lopez was celebrating her 56th birthday when, mid-performance, her glittering gold skirt slipped off on stage during a fan-led rendition of “Happy Birthday.” Instead of missing a beat, the multi-hyphenate star let out a surprised yelp, laughed, and confidently continued strutting the stage in her underwear.
“I’m out here in my underwear,” Lopez quipped with a grin, before throwing the skirt into the audience. “I’m glad I had underwear on,” she added cheekily. “I don’t usually wear underwear.”

The crowd roared with delight, and to the fan who caught the skirt, Lopez graciously joked, “Yes! You can keep it. You can have it. I don’t want it back.”
The moment was captured around the two-minute mark in fan videos now circulating on social media — instantly adding another iconic chapter to Lopez’s storied stage career.
The concert at PGE Narodowy marked one of 19 stops on her Up All Night Tour, which began on July 8 in Spain and will span Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia before concluding August 10 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This tour marks Lopez’s first in six years, following the cancellation of her 2024 This Is Me… Live Tour amid reports of low ticket sales and personal challenges — including her now-finalized divorce from actor Ben Affleck.
In a candid interview with Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine, Lopez opened up about that difficult chapter: “I was so devastated to let anybody down, but I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep… Probably the hardest time of my life, but also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.”
Lopez also addressed her fanbase: “I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world. Some fan bases can be spicy. Mine are just a bunch of lovers.”
Not everyone was as charmed. Conservative commentator Megyn Kelly criticized the star’s sexy stage look, remarking, “So she’s a soft porn star now.” But J.Lo’s fans were quick to defend the singer, celebrating her confidence, charisma, and show-woman spirit.
Beyond music, Lopez is set to return to the silver screen later this year in Bill Condon’s upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman, releasing October 10. The musical drama, adapted from Manuel Puig’s novel, follows two prisoners who bond over a shared love for Hollywood musicals.
Whether dominating the stage or lighting up the big screen, Jennifer Lopez continues to redefine longevity, resilience, and grace in show business — underwear or not.
