Hilda Puno: From Guam to Hollywood – A Journey of Resilience, Beauty, and Passion

The Inspiring Rise of a Veteran, Model, and Actress Who Shines on and off the Screen

In the ever-glamorous world of Hollywood, where stories of perseverance and triumph are a dime a dozen, Hilda Puno’s tale stands out as one of resilience, diversity, and undeniable talent. Born and raised on the idyllic island of Guam, a United States Territory, Hilda’s journey from her tropical homeland to the dazzling lights of Hollywood is nothing short of extraordinary.

Hilda is the eldest child of Pedro Puno, cousin to the late, legendary Filipino singer Rico J. Puno, and Priscilla Garcia Sampson. Her roots are deeply intertwined with a rich cultural heritage, one that has undoubtedly shaped her path in life. After her family relocated to Hilo, on the Big Island of Hawaii, Hilda continued her education at Guam Community College Vocational High School. With a passion for understanding the human mind, she pursued a degree in Clinical Psychology, complemented by a minor in Fine Arts from Azusa Pacific University.

Her academic journey was only the beginning. A proud veteran, Hilda served her country with distinction in both the United States Navy and Air Force Reserve. This experience not only honed her discipline and resilience but also prepared her for the challenges of the entertainment industry.

Hilda’s entry into the world of entertainment began as a background extra, a humble start that led her to land roles with some of the biggest studios in the world, including Marvel, Netflix, Disney, and Paramount. But Hilda is not just a face on the screen; she is a student of her craft, currently refining her acting skills at Limelight Acting Studios, demonstrating her commitment to continuous growth in her acting career.

Her modeling career, however, is where her star truly began to shine. As a teenager, Hilda modeled for John Robert Powers, Guam U.S.A., and even graced the pages of the Australian Swimsuit Calendar. After her military service, she returned to the runway, modeling for JD Events Sy Couture in San Diego, California, and various other esteemed designers. Her unique beauty and poise have seen her grace New York Times Square Billboards multiple times, especially as a signature model for MUSA advocacy Filipino fashion designers and for JD Events Sy Couture.

Her influence extends beyond the catwalk and the silver screen. Hilda has been featured in prominent magazines such as Fashion Republic (Los Angeles, California), Spirit UK, Glam UK, and CT Fashion Magazine, where she collaborated with Victoria Henley from America’s Next Top Model Season 19 – Magnifique Showcase.

In 2023, Hilda added two more prestigious titles to her name – the first Healuxe Global Ambassadress and Ms. Naturalle World 2023. These roles allow her to advocate for a cause close to her heart: the well-being of the whole person and the celebration of radiant beauty from within.

Hilda Puno’s journey from Guam to Hollywood is a testament to her determination, talent, and the ability to shine in whatever role she takes on. Whether she’s in front of the camera, on the runway, or advocating for wellness and beauty, Hilda embodies the spirit of a true Hollywood star.
