Mona Liza Santos is a Filipina American children’s book author, publisher, and the founder of World Love Press, based in San Diego. Her journey into publishing began during the 2020 pandemic, a time when the world slowed and families searched for comfort, reassurance, and connection. What started as storytelling for her young son became a purpose driven creative mission that now reaches families around the globe.
During lockdown, Mona turned to storytelling as a way to nurture emotional closeness at home. Writing became a gentle anchor, helping children and parents navigate uncertainty together. This period of reflection sparked her debut book, Mama, I Love You, a tender exploration of unconditional love that quickly resonated with parents, teachers, counselors, and social emotional learning advocates worldwide.

Following the success of her debut, Mona continued to write with remarkable consistency and heart. She has since authored and published more than 40 children’s books, ranging from picture books and poetry to self reflection stories and age appropriate spooky tales. Across every title, her work carries a clear through line of kindness, emotional awareness, self acceptance, and the celebration of individuality.

Inspired by motherhood, cultural heritage, and a lifelong love of travel, Mona brings a global lens to her storytelling. Having visited more than 70 countries, she weaves empathy, identity, and cultural appreciation into narratives that help children understand both themselves and the world around them. Her books gently affirm that every feeling matters and every voice deserves to be heard.

Beyond writing, Mona oversees every aspect of World Love Press, from curation to publication. The growing catalog is intentionally designed to support children through different stages of emotional development, offering stories that meet young readers where they are. Her work has been featured in respected platforms including BookTrib, Authority Magazine, SDVoyager, CanvasRebel, Kidlio Magazine, and Scary Monsters Magazine, among others.

Mona’s creative life is closely shared with her son, Michael Blade, a young published author in his own right. Together, they believe in the transformative power of stories to shape kinder, more emotionally aware generations. Through words, imagination, and love, Mona Liza Santos continues to build a literary world where children feel seen, understood, and empowered to be exactly who they are.
