Shots Fired at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home; Suspect Taken Into Custody

Police confirm the singer was home during the incident but unharmed after multiple shots were fired toward the gate of her Los Angeles residence

A tense situation unfolded on Sunday afternoon at the Beverly Hills home of global music icon Rihanna, when multiple gunshots were fired toward her residence. Authorities confirmed that the singer was at home at the time of the incident but was not injured.

According to a representative from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the shooting occurred at approximately 1:20 p.m. on the 9500 block of Heather Road in the Beverly Crest neighborhood, an upscale area within Los Angeles.

Police stated that several shots were fired from a vehicle toward the gate of Rihanna’s home before officers apprehended the suspect. Fortunately, no one inside the property was harmed during the incident.

Suspect Arrested After Firing Multiple Rounds

Authorities confirmed that the individual taken into custody is a 30-year-old woman. According to reporting from the Los Angeles Times, the suspect allegedly fired seven to nine rounds using an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle.

Local outlet NBC4 Los Angeles reported that the gunfire was directed toward the gate of the property rather than the residence itself. Police acted quickly to secure the scene and detain the suspect, preventing further escalation.

No additional details about the motive behind the shooting have been publicly released at this time.

Luxury Beverly Hills Residence

Rihanna purchased the luxurious property in 2021 for approximately $13.8 million. The mansion spans 7,600 square feet and features five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, making it one of the notable estates in the prestigious Beverly Crest area.

The neighborhood is home to several high-profile residents, including fellow music stars Mariah Carey and Madonna.

At the time of the shooting, it was not immediately clear whether Rihanna’s longtime partner A$AP Rocky was present at the property. The rapper—who shares three children with Rihanna—previously sold his nearby home in 2025. A representative for A$AP Rocky did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Public Appearance and Career Updates

The incident comes during a period when Rihanna has been gradually reappearing in the public spotlight. The singer was recently seen attending the Met Gala 2025 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, where the event celebrated the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

Although it has been ten years since the release of her last studio album, Anti, fans have recently received hints that new music may be on the horizon. In February, Rihanna shared a video showing moments from her daily life, including footage of the singer working in a recording studio—sparking speculation about a potential upcoming project.

Investigation Continues

Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the suspect or possible motivations behind the shooting. The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the incident.

Despite the alarming nature of the event, police confirmed that Rihanna and everyone at the residence remained safe, and the swift arrest of the suspect helped bring the situation under control.
