If there is one story destined for the big screen, it begins with a prom queen watching the tragedy of 9/11 unfold. That day didn’t just change the world—it changed her life’s direction forever.
At just 17, Angel J. Storm convinced her parents to let her enlist in the U.S. Army. Against all odds, the teenage prom queen became a counterterrorism social scientist and intelligence analyst. Deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, she spent her twenties decoding human behavior, anticipating conflict, and training her intuition to read people in ways most of us can’t imagine.
Today, she stands as both a survivor and a teacher—showing the world that the truest role any of us will ever play is our authentic self.
Throughout this exclusive, readers glimpse rare, intimate moments of Angel’s journey: photographs of her in uniform at just 17, and years later, celebrating her doctorate alongside her parents. The contrast is profound—proof of resilience, brilliance, and reinvention.

“When you stand in front of a true superhero, you feel it,” says writer Rita Valente. “Angel is one of them.”
Rita Valente: Let’s begin where your story takes off. You were just 15 when 9/11 happened. How did that moment change everything for you?
Angel: I’ll never forget it. Watching the towers fall made me realize life isn’t promised and safety is never guaranteed. I felt this undeniable pull. By 17, I had convinced my parents to let me join the military. That decision shaped everything that followed.

Angel specialized in conflict analysis during her service. Her work was about more than tactics—it was about understanding what motivates people, how narratives escalate into violence, and how to anticipate actions before they happen.
“I learned to read people in seconds,” she explains. “That skillset never left me. In fact, I’ve honed it more as an entrepreneur.”
Fast-forward to today, Angel uses her expertise to guide people through trauma—whether from war zones, toxic workplaces, narcissistic relationships, or invisible battles of self-doubt.
“Trauma is trauma,” she says. “The nervous system doesn’t differentiate. Whether it’s a semi-truck or a bicycle crashing through paper, there’s still damage that needs repair.”
One of Angel’s most powerful insights is that many people live their lives as actors—playing roles dictated by society, family, or expectation.
“They look polished and successful on the outside,” Angel explains, “but inside they feel unseen, unloved, unworthy. It’s like Superman walking around pretending he isn’t Superman.”
When the mask comes off, she says, it’s like unblocking a river: energy, passion, and purpose flow freely again.

What sets Angel apart from thousands of coaches?

“I know how shame and guilt keep people stuck,” she says. “And I know how to help them break free.”
One client had been married seven times—always repeating the same cycle. After working with Angel, she finally broke the pattern and found an aligned partner. Another client, lost and burned out, reconnected with her natural gifts and built a thriving career.
“The shift is always dramatic,” Angel says, “but it starts with small internal changes—how you see yourself, the meaning you give your experiences, and the boundaries you create.”
