Linda Hogan has opened up about her deeply fractured family, sharing an emotional message on social media about her ex-husband Hulk Hogan and her strained relationship with their daughter, Brooke.
In a tearful Instagram Story video, Linda, 64, called the former wrestling icon a “liar” and “sex addict,” and revealed that she has been estranged from Brooke, 36, for eight years. “It’s been 15 however long years since I left Hulk Hogan, and my family is the worst mess,” she said.
A Broken Family
Linda, who was married to Hulk Hogan from 1983 until their divorce in 2009, expressed her ongoing pain over the situation. “I’ve given him more opportunities to come back and make up the family,” she lamented. “It’s been 20 years and I’m still this sad. Somebody please explain that. I do love living alone. I don’t ever want to be married again after him, trust me.”
She went on to claim that Hulk, 70, has no relationship with either of their children, Brooke or Nick, 34. “We mean nothing to him,” she alleged, adding, “He’s a complete liar. He’s a sex addict. Yet he marches on, like, ‘Oh, I’m promoting my own beer. Yeah, look at me,’” referencing his Real American Beer brand.
The Rift Between Linda and Brooke
In addition to her grievances with Hulk, Linda revealed that Brooke did not inform her family about her 2022 marriage to former professional hockey player Steven Oleksy or the recent birth of her twins.
According to Linda, the estrangement began after a major fallout between Brooke and her father eight years ago. “I don’t know how that reflected onto me, but she cut me out too,” Linda explained.
Brooke Hogan Responds
Following Linda’s public remarks, Brooke took to Instagram to clarify her position. “I have completely separate reasons for going no contact with each of my parents,” she wrote. “No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad, and no contact with my father has nothing to do with my mother.”
Brooke then shared deeply personal allegations about her upbringing. “I was extremely verbally and mentally abused throughout my childhood,” she claimed, adding that it “frequently turned physical.”
“Cycles must be broken,” Brooke stated. “At this point, my husband, my children, and my relationship with God is my priority. There have been more than enough chances and reprieve given. It has to stop, it ends now.”
The Hogan Legacy
Linda first rose to public recognition alongside her famous husband in the reality TV show Hogan Knows Best, which aired from 2005 to 2007 and chronicled their family life. The show led to the spin-off Brooke Knows Best, which focused on Brooke’s journey into adulthood.
Since their divorce, Hulk has remarried, tying the knot with his third wife, Sky Daily, in 2023. Meanwhile, Linda has largely stayed out of the spotlight, apart from occasional social media appearances and interviews.
Representatives for Hulk Hogan have not responded to requests for comment on the situation.
