Rebecca Fox Secures 191 Hotel Rooms to Foster Community Among Fans During the Eras Tour Stop, Prioritizing Cost and Connection
As Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour approaches its New Orleans stop, one dedicated fan has taken extraordinary steps to ensure a memorable experience for fellow Swifties. Rebecca Fox has booked an impressive 191 hotel rooms at a Holiday Inn in New Orleans, creating a unique convention dubbed “Holiday House,” which aims to bring fans together for a weekend filled with camaraderie and celebration.
Fox’s journey began over a year ago, inspired by her own experience attending the tour’s opening night. Recognizing the high costs associated with traveling to see Swift live, including tickets, flights, and accommodations, she set out to reduce these expenses for fellow fans. The “Holiday House” convention, running from October 24 to 28, will feature various events designed to immerse attendees in the Swiftie community and provide opportunities for meaningful connections.
“I’ve been a super fan of Taylor since the very beginning, and when Eras [Tour] was announced, I knew that the one thing I had to do was see it before anybody else did,” Fox explained. Her commitment led her to navigate logistical challenges, such as taking a train to Los Angeles and renting a car, all while ensuring that her fellow fans would have a more affordable lodging option during the New Orleans tour dates.
Initially, Fox aimed to secure just 20 hotel rooms, but her determination and community outreach led to an expansion that quadrupled the size of the booking. After exhausting options at the Hyatt Regency, she successfully negotiated the block of rooms at the Holiday Inn, all while charging only the face value for the rooms, with a small refundable deposit to ensure fairness.
“I fought really, really, really hard for every single room and every single person, and just so it’s entirely clear, I’ve done this all at cost,” Fox stated. Her goal was to create an experience that fosters friendships and memories among Swifties, many of whom travel from across the country to attend the concert.
The Holiday House weekend will be filled with Taylor-themed and New Orleans-themed activities, including bracelet-making sessions, scavenger hunts, and other interactive experiences designed to unite fans. “Before this, I literally only knew one other Swiftie in New Orleans, and now I have probably 40 really, really dear friends that live here, and I have thousands all over the world,” Fox shared, reflecting on the connections she has made through her efforts.
As the Eras Tour continues to generate excitement and bring fans together, Fox’s initiative exemplifies the spirit of community that Taylor Swift’s music inspires. With thousands expected to attend the Holiday House events, Rebecca Fox has turned her passion for Swift into an opportunity for fans to bond and celebrate their shared love for the artist.
